Learning Listening

Listening is the first of the Four Language skills that one gets exposed to after birth.
Never a deaf child has ever learnt a language. and every child born in to a particular language community picks up that language only. The first exposure that need be given to a learner is that of listening. Unless you get to listen to the language you may never understand how it sounds.  you may develop a listening environment for yourself through listening to a collection of... podcasts, Short Stories (fables) Stories, News, Travelogues, Documentaries, Debates, Passages, Dramas, Poetry, etc.  let me  also introduce you to a fantastic website that will fulfill all your listening needs. Therefore the first exercise I provide you here is of Listening.

1. AUDIOBOOKS: There is a host of  audio-books available on the internet that may be used conveniently  at your choice of place, time, and purpose. you may select the matter of your preference. there are very many


2. PODCASTS: English language podcasts are an excellent way to learn English quickly.
You can listen to them anytime anywhere – at your desk or while you’re on the move. Its certainly a better way to pass the time during a long commute by immersing yourself in an entertaining podcast.
With a little dedication, English language podcasts will help you quickly improve your listening skills and proficiency. One perk (benefit) is that podcasts often have transcripts (a written version of the audio). This means that you can listen and read at the same time, or look at a transcript if one part of a podcast confuses you.

This one is for the Beginners:  just listen as many times as you wish to
